Inspired by our natural world, minimalism and a journey to embrace the imperfect, these pieces were created to bring the feeling of grounding and calm I experience in nature onto canvas. Meant to bring subtle beauty and warmth into an interior, without demanding attention, they are painted on a raw cotton canvas and framed in a raw wood Douglas Fir float frame.

Creating them was a practice of using less (primarily one paint color) and letting texture and line inform the pieces. They come to life when sunshine crosses them, or as the light of day moves through a space changing the shape and creating shadows within the textures.
